"Volunteering for our Planet" in Korat           (5 December)

On the 5th December, UNV Thailand was involved in the organization of the International Volunteer Day and His Majesty the king’s birthday in Korat, one of the Thailands major municipalities. “Volunteering for our Planet” activities consisted of planting trees to help promote a low carbon city. The trees were symbolically given to His Majesty the king as his birthday present.

More than one million hours "Volunteering for our planet" (25 November)

Volunteers registered more than 1,054,155 hours of climate work. People around the world are volunteering hundrets of thousands of hours to tackle climate change and send the message to world leaders that everyone is part of the solution.

A new website, www.VolunteeringForOurPlanet.org has drawn thousands of visitors to register the time they have spent as environmental volunteers since World Environment Day, 5 June, and the time they will spend until International Volunteer Day, 5 December.
