UNDP development partnerships
The work of UNDP Thailand is made possible by the personal, financial, and professional commitments of its international and national partners. UNDP Thailand actively engages in an array of development partnerships with all stakeholders, both national and international, working together in all phases of the development cycle, from programme design, implementation, review and revision, to lessons learned and best practices.
The Royal Thai Government is UNDP’s most important partner. Through its responsibilities to coordinate efforts to reach its Millennium Development Goals, UNDP Thailand supports the Royal Thai Government (RTG) in its efforts to improve the lives of the people of Thailand through a participatory process of awareness raising, technical support, policy expertise and coordination and implementation of initiatives that support the RTG's national priorities. Thailand, as a middle-income country (MIC), is an important part of the developing ASEAN economic community, and an emerging partner in international development assistance in Southeast Asia and worldwide. UNDP works with its partners to assist Thailand in its economic development (such as Creative Economy), meeting MDG and MDG Plus targets, promoting democratic governance and combating global climate change.
UNDP is also active in its engagement with civil society, including NGOs, community-based organizations, Thailand's robust academic community, and national and international media. Through many of its programmes, UNDP also works with the private sector in support of public-private partnerships.
UNDP outreach and cooperation also extend to the international community. This cooperation includes various UN Agencies, as well as donors and other multilateral and bilateral development organizations operating in Thailand. UNDP also enjoys various forms of technical and financial cooperation with international NGOs and foundations.

Help UNDP and its partners create a more sustainable future for all the people of Thailand.
UNDP is looking for partnerships with private sector companies, civil society groups and other organisations that share its commitment to sustainable human development.
In Thailand, UNDP is helping promote Thailand as an emerging donor and a model exporting its knowledge and expertise in the region, as well as supporting the country to strengthen the effectiveness and coordination of the development aid it receives, and the relations with its partner countries through South-South Cooperation. Capacity building and policy support is a key feature as well as a main objective of UNDP/Thailand Programmes. Such support helped national institutions build up the necesssary human and institutional capacity to respond to national and international requests, and also help facilitate better coordination and sharing of information among national and international partners.
Our work spans a wide range of focus areas, from good governance, to poverty reduction, to climate change and alternative energy, and to helping apply Thailand’s development experience and expertise to developing countries in the region and beyond.
As a partner of UNDP, your organisation becomes part of an international partnership for development and a global exchange of knowledge and expertise. We welcome your interest. Please contact us at:
