2004 Human Development Report Available in Thai

Freedom of religion, language, culture and ethnicity is not just a human right. It is an integral part of sustainable human development and a pre-condition for social harmony and political stability.

Drawing on experiences and lessons learnt from around the globe, the UNDP Human Development Report 2004 condemns discrimination on cultural grounds – religious, ethnic and linguistic - and calls for the expansion of cultural freedoms, not their suppression, as the only way to promote stability, democracy, and human development within and across societies.

This report is now available for download from this website in both Thai and English language.
