A resource person from OECD/DAC, Ms. Kimberly Smith a well experienced official on Official Development Assistance (ODA), data analysis and collection, gave a presentation on the current practices in Thailand, including tracking of data about ODA, and capacity gaps in these areas.

The meeting recognized the need for ODA database for Thailand for strategic planning and tracking purposes, said Ms. Sirisupa Kulthanan, UNDP Thailand Assistant Resident Representative.

Over 70 participants from line ministries/agencies attended this workshop. The participants learned a great deal about the concept, definition and terminologies of ODA, data requirements, data collection and solicitation process, some methods of data collection and reporting system, as well as some examples of the OECD/DAC Statistical Report.
